Surrounded by old deciduous trees stands the Kräheneck castle ruins high above the Dillweißenstein district.
It was probably built in the 12th century and initially belonged to the Lords of Kräheneck, later to the Lords of Weißenstein.

From the castle ruins Kräheneck is still a 10 m high shield wall made of sandstone blocks available. Before that is cut in a wide ditch. On the shield wall is now a viewing platform. However, the trees have grown so high that a distant view is only possible in one direction.

By far the best of the three castle ruins. It even has a small spiral staircase. Benches are set up on the ruins' plateau.
