In 2015, a renaturation measure took place here on the Moosach river, which received a side arm on the river bed, which was otherwise only straightened for a few kilometers. Flat, pebbly shores, shallow water zones with different current speeds and an island were formed.

The Moosach, which later flows through Freising, has been completely straightened in the Freisinger Moos in order to dry out the moss / moor so that the farmers can partly cultivate the land. A renatured river arch has been created here at the highlight. A notice board provides information about this.
