Theodor Fontane Statue at Zum Goldenen Stern, Teupitz

Theodor Fontane reported on his stay at the inn in Teupitz:
“I left here on Friday evening at eight and was in Teupitz at four in the morning, slept for three hours in a bed where at least someone had already slept, then drove across the beautiful lake, visited the castle and church, and finally a mountain from which you can see the entire Teupitz estate with its mountains and lakes, left at two and a half and was back in Berlin at nine and a half." - Fontane, letter to his wife Emilie on June 23, 1862

The bust stands directly in front of the former inn

Theodor Fontane was in Teupitz in 1862 and wrote about it in the walks through Mark Brandenburg. In 1874 it came again - but there was no publication.
