My favorite view of the "Stuttgarter Kessel". Even in the dark, a rise worthwhile if Stuttgart shines
November 3, 2019
When the flag flies, the tower is open and can be climbed.
Once you have climbed the 92 steps to the platform of the 20 m high Bismarck Tower, you will be rewarded with a fantastic all-round panorama. If you don't like it that sporty, you also have a wonderful view over the whole of Stuttgart from the foot of the tower.
The Bismarck Tower on the Gähkopf in the north of Stuttgart was donated in 1904 in honor of the first German Chancellor, Otto Fürst von Bismarck, by students of what was then the Technical University. A fire was lit on the tower on Bismarck's birthday, the anniversary of his death and the anniversary of the founding of the Reich. (Stuttgart region)
