After the night on the Loire (1006km longest river in France) up to the castle in the hope of getting closer.
The park and gardens are so big that you only have a good view if you officially go inside.
The backpacks and bags are checked at the entrances, vaccination passport is best digital (but you have to show it everywhere)
      20 € entry.
The international garden shows, the Festival des Jardins, would certainly be extremely interesting. Unfortunately we didn't have the time. You should bring 3 hours. - next time then 😉😉

Visited the Royal Castle of Amboise on the way home. This castle is particularly significant due to the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci.
Leonardo had spent the last years of his life here. The King Charles V |||. was his patron and sponsor. He said to him: Dream, Think, Work “free of any financial worries.
The castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Only 1/3 of the former 220-room castle has survived.
The view of the Loire Valley is great.
Today we were lucky as “thrifty” Swabians because, like us in September on the Open Monument Day, admission was reduced here. 😉😉Unfortunately we now have 2 rainy days for the Loire Valley.

Made a short trip to the large log cabin in the neighboring village. This means a restored former very large bunker of the German army.
The staff speak German and the exhibition is very well done. A young French man who works in the shop studied in Leipzig and a German friend from my home region, the world is so small.
It is also worth a visit for the view.In the exhibition, emphasis is placed on the unconditional surrender of the Germans. Like it happened here in the pocket of St. Nazaire. This left 100,000 people alive. How important for our Europe was the handshake that Charles de Gaulle and Adenauer made as the basis for reconciliation.

After it is supposed to rain inland on the Loire, we simply stay longer on the coast of Le Croisic.
Meanwhile I am completely in love with this town and the coast around it.
It rained last night, the wind got a lot stronger, I had a good headwind when cycling back.
Now at the weekend there are significantly more visitors here on the small peninsula.
The Atlantic is just coming back, the high tide is in about 2 hours. It can be wonderfully observed from the motorhome. 😀🙏⛵️🌊

Today the main town of Guerande, with its medieval old town, moat around the city fortifications, was worth a visit. And good galettes and crepes on every corner. I can only recommend Le Roc Maria right behind the former grain hall! The salt marshes and the surrounding landscape are biotopes of their own.We rode a large part of the “Velocean” cycle route. It's well signposted. I've been to France many times but never by bike, a new experience, a lot has happened. Often people point out that they can share a car and bicycle and that consideration works.
All without having to build extra bike paths. Now we are out and about in the off-season, as it is in the summer hustle and bustle ????
We are also lucky with the weather, cloudy in the mornings and mostly sunny from 11 onwards 😀😀

Today we cycled around our current location. Croisic peninsula / Golf du Morbihan very close to Guerande. Everywhere the marais / swamps for salt production. A very special landscape.
I bought coarse salt directly from the "salt gardener". 1kg 1 €. 👍
Here on the coast is the Cote Sauvage, the rocks are littered with snails and mussels and hermit crabs.
They are harvested at low tide.
A very beautiful corner of our world😀🚐

Part of one today. Followed another Komootler's tour. Admired the incredible rows of stones here in Carnac in southern Brittany.
4500-2500 BC these alignments were probably part of a processional path to a sanctuary.
We visited a tumulus / burial mound. It is touching how the chamber is oriented towards the sun and in a square plan. Similar examples exist in England, South America Egyptian. Conicidence???
Thanks to Komoot we found our way back through the woods.
Exploring the rows of stones by bike is recommended, it's a few kilometers.
At the Grand Plage of Carnac we enjoy the end of today's bike tour.
Before moving on to the next place. 🚐

Dreamlike. Spend the night in nowhere and a small part of the hiking trail up along the Falaise coast. Path to the square very narrow. Locals come down here to collect crabs or other things after the flood

My good Golf Diesel, always has transmission problems in connection with the diesel injection. Everything has been crazy since the software cleanup.
Still started the day with a nice little bike ride back.

Today we were able to do our bike tour with our fruit and horticultural association Notzingen in the best weather. We covered 70 km, everyone cycled with eBikes and we had a very nice time together.
Lunch at the Stadtwirt in Strassdorf, located directly on the bike path. We can highly recommend it. Reservation is recommended on sunny weekends.
After Hohenstaufen it went down again quickly. In Rechberghausen in the Schlosscafe, we allowed ourselves the next break.
After a good 50km we felt our buttocks more and more. Over gentler climbs we went up from the Filstal back to Notzingen. We ended the day in the sports home on the Eichert. 🍺🚴🏻‍♀️💪💪
