In 1845 there was a post mill at this place. This was first converted into a more modern Dutch mill. The mill worked with wind power until 1936. Then the wings were removed. The mill operated electrically until 2011. A specialty of the mill is the directly attached grain silo.

Mountain biking

The Dutch windmill is located on the so-called Galgenberg between Drehnow, Turnow and Peitz and has been in the family since 1864. Here, visitors learn interesting facts about the history and function of the mill. In the 1930s, the mill was technically converted. Since this renovation, the historic mill technology has been operated by an electric motor. The characteristic windmill blades were dismantled.
