The Chascha Pass lies on the border between Italy and Switzerland. For mountain bikers, with about 80 minutes of sliding and carrying time, it is a real test of will, but it is quickly forgotten in the flowy S1 downhill on the Italian side.

The saddle itself is completely unspectacular, the ascent from Livigno is on average 19% steep, hardly less than 15%, up to 30%. The last parr hundred meters from the Rifugio Cassana are easy S1, whereby I pushed the first 100m from Rifugio because of approximately 30% slope.
Departure towards Inntal: Above S1, then quickly into S2, good steep, actually good to drive, but the loose, dry ground is very sandy and there is a lot of loose little rubble around, which is why I then partially pushed the lower half. The S3 / S4 should be uphill.

Also coming from Livigno the almost 2,700 meters high pass is a real highlight. Probably you have to push something here too, but the fun on the challenging S2-S3 downhill makes up for the effort.
