Shortly before the Hohe Brücke, a pedestrian bridge over the Messeschnellweg, near the Weidetorkreisel, you can still find a piece of the Schiffgraben. This was a canal from the Middle Ages, on which peat and wood transports from the Altwarmbüchener Moor were transported. 3 kilometers from the original 9 kilometers are still preserved in the Eilenriede
