The avenue leads into the historic center. Two stately buildings, the former “Löwen” inn on the left and the pharmacy (from 1783) on the right, form the entrance gate to Herrengasse. The name "Herrengasse" takes us back to the time of Franz Ludwig Schenk v. Castell, here he settled "his masters": pharmacists, bailiffs, administrators, but also his "professionals", the artisans (including bakers, cooper, blacksmith) and merchants. Houses in the French-Baroque mansard style create a street scene that you would not expect in Upper Swabia. Herrengasse was redesigned in 1999/2000 as part of the town center renovation. At the end of the rows of houses on both sides, the street widens to the Schlossplatz, the center of the village.(Source: oberdischingen.de/de/gemeinde-oberdischingen/rundgang-sehenswerte/herrengasse)
