    PARISH CHURCH - SWABIAN PANTHEON
On the south side of Schlossplatz is the Catholic parish church "To the Most Holy Name of Jesus".

The domed church was built in the classical style on the ground plan of a Greek cross modeled after the Pantheon in Rome. Inside, it holds valuable late Gothic stone reliefs. In 1804 the Malefizschenk had begun the construction, only in 1832 could the church be inaugurated.

For the new church, the Imperial Count had chosen a French architect: The researchers share in the name of Michael D'Ixnard, the builder of St. Blaise, who had also built the new Schenk'sche castle, and Nicholas Thouret, the Stuttgart court architect ,

The church had at first only a modest bell chair, but got in the year 1892 the present with baroque dome crowned church tower with a height of 36 m.

The church underwent two major renovations, the first in 1911/12, the second in 1967/1968.
