Memorial to the air raid on February 17, 1945 on a passenger train on the Amberg - Lauterhofen railway line. Here, near the Hoibruck, the air raid occurred, in which probably 18 people died. On November 2, 1989, the torture with the brass plaque was made at the scene. Nice place to take a short break and remember. The picture is rounded off by an informative display board with newspaper clippings, explanations, pictures and a bench next to the marterl.

"A Marterl commemorates the victims of the low-flying aircraft attack on February 20, 1945. The train was driving on the open road in the direction of" Hoibrücke "when the engine driver noticed the attacking low-flying aircraft. The train reached the beginning of the forest at full steam and already under fire. Many passengers tried to flee into the forest, which was the death sentence for most of them. According to official information, at least 14 people were killed. " Quoted from: Schmaußer and Augsburger, hiking guide through the community of Ursensollen, Ursensollen 2004. Now there is also an information board with a newspaper clipping next to the cross. Unfortunately, the inscription on the cross is spoiled by a completely superfluous apostrophe.

This memorial station is located directly on the cycle path, in the middle of the forest near the Hoibrücke.
