This is probably the worst part of the tow path to ride with a road bike, between Saul Junction and Parkend Bridge. However as it was baked dry it wasn't too bad and at times riding on the grass was a smoother ride. If you want to miss this section off you can road ride between Saul Junction and Parkend Bridge via Epney.
