The Sommerbergbahn is a funicular railway with a track gauge of 1000 mm, which overcomes a height difference of 291m from the valley station in Bad Wildbad to the mountain station on the Sommerberg on a distance of 738m. In between is the panoramic station and an escape point, where the two cars meet.
The railway was opened in 1908 and 2010/11 last completely renewed.

Hiking

The old historic funicular is dismantled, now modern and full of technology. Unfortunately, the descent is very fast, the view to Wildberg can not be enjoyed like in the past in a long drive. Ascent with KVV day ticket 3 €, otherwise 4 €.
