The Pensionerse is the smallest in the group of the four nearby lakes in the Hochholz-Kapellenbruch nature reserve. North and east of it are the fishing lake of the fishing club "Rotauge" Rot 1968 e.V. and the Ortlippsee. South of Rauenberger Straße is Lake Wagnersee, the largest of the four.

The shelter at the Rentnersee invites you to linger and rest.
