Here was the old restaurant "Steider Heck" in the 70s. An old stop on which the horses were changed before it went on the arduous postal route through the Samerrott to Schüttorf. Too bad she does not exist anymore. A little further north (about 250m) in front of the right turning road towards Salzbergen, was in World War II an anti-aircraft position, which should protect Salzbergen refinery.

Exemplary rest area with patio and gazebo. There are several interesting information boards.

The old post route to Munster ran again. The old restaurant "Steider Heck" used to stand here.
Unfortunately they no longer exist. As children, we were there often to drink "Rote Brause" and to take a swing on the ship.
