Karl Stülpner (1762 to 1841), poacher, game shooter and Erzgebirge folk hero, who had his problems with the authorities but probably liked to help farmers and the poor, is said to have hidden in this cave from time to time. It originally arose when mining for tin ore.

The Stülpnerhöhle is a former starting point for tin mining and is dedicated to the memory of the Erzgebirge folk hero Karl Stülpner. This is said to have hidden in this cave from time to time (1762-1841).
During our visit she was unfortunately under water, which is often the case.

The cave was Karl Stülbner's refuge. It not only served as a hiding place but also as one of his dwellings.
