Hiking
Very beautiful, elaborately restored and imposing building with the name "Dr. Konrad Duden".
Dr. Konrad Duden was appointed director of the grammar school in Schleiz (Principality of Reuss of the younger line) in 1869, where he developed the rules for the later dictionary, because Frankish, Thuringian and Saxon dialects met in Schleiz and the assessment of a student's orthography depended on the language tradition in which respective teacher had grown up. Through his standard work, Duden wanted to make reading and writing easier, especially for those who were not educated.

Hiking
The Beimlerschule right next door (DDR-Plattembau) has meanwhile been demolished due to its dilapidation. In any case, the terrain looks nicer now.
