Wissbach Gorge and Historic Power Plant

The Wissbachschlucht is a wild and romantic side valley of the Glatt between Gossau, Flawil and Degersheim. A covered wooden walkway leads hikers safely through the gorge. A paradise for families with children. On this route, there are countless barbecue and rest stops right on the river. And the beautiful narrow forest trails usually lead right along the river, just beautiful and very worthwhile to come here!

The covered staircase, located next to a canyon, leads along a rocky outcrop in a tunnel-like fashion. Parallel to this, the pressure pipe of the power plant runs at the bottom of the staircase.The Wissbach Gorge can also be explored by bike, although carrying or pushing something is necessary from time to time.
