The Rosstrappe is 403m above sea level. N.N. one of the smaller granite rocks on the edge of the Bodetal. However, due to its steeply sloping flank, it is no less spectacular and offers a great view of the Hexentanzplatz and the Bode Valley.
The Rosstrappe got its name from the white steed on which the king's daughter Brunhilde fled from the giant Bodo. The horse jumped from the cliff onto the opposite rock, the giant Bodo fell into the river and gave him his name: Bode.
The imprint of the white horse can still be seen here in the rock.

Walk calmly on the path at the stamp box, several platforms offer a beautiful view of the Bode valley.
In some places you can still see traces of the forest fire raging on the eastern slope, with pink markings for the fire-fighting helicopter, who has made the way to here then knows how to lay hoses for the work of the fire brigade through this area.

This Flesen is not directly the Rosstrappe, but allows a great view of it. Perfect for the first photos or even when the Rosstrappe itself is a bit crowded.
The Rosstrappe is 403m above sea level. N.N. one of the smaller but spectacular granite rocks on the edge of the Bodetal.

The view from the Rosstrappe is definitely worth a hike !!! If you do not feel like hiking up there, you can also use the chairlift very comfortably! The stamping station HWN 71 can then be pressed on a path right into its stamping position 😉

The Schurre is a block dump in the Bodeschlucht in the lower resin with Thale in Saxonia-Anhalt. The block heap is in a slowly slipping motion, especially in heavy rain "churn" the blocks partly audible to the valley. (Source: Wikipedia)

A real highlight in autumn. Along the Bode, magical colors and the rippling provide a deceleration from everyday life. If you look into the Bodetal from above, you hold your breath, it is breathtaking in the truest sense of the word. The view from the Rosstrappe is also magnificent, even if the Rosstrappe itself will disappoint some people, especially in view of the somewhat arduous path.

It is even further to the Roßtrappe. However, the stamp office itself is brought forward to the intersection with the chute. The chute has been closed for some time.

A visit to the Rosstrappe is a “must” when you stop in Tale. It is an absolute tourist center, but the view of the valley is really worthwhile.

At the exit of the Bodetal near Thale is the legendary Roßtrappe, a striking granite rock with a height of 403 meters above sea level. The southern foothills of the Roßtrappenberg protrudes far into the Bodetal and there falls almost vertically about 200 meters into the depth at the last large loop of the Bode.
