Gotthold Ephraim Lessing the Younger (April 7, 1861 in Berlin – March 3, 1919) was a landowner and member of the German Reichstag.
Lessing was the son of Carl Robert Lessing and the great-grandnephew of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing. He inherited Meseberg Castle from his father and moved there with his wife Anna in 1891. In 1934 his widow had to sell Schloss Meseberg again.
From June 1896 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Potsdam 3 constituency (Ruppin, Templin) and in the Liberal People's Party.
He and his widow Anna were buried in a mausoleum on Gut Meseberg near Lake Huwenow.
The family coat of arms can be found on a memorial stone a little below the mausoleum, not far from the lake shore – three rings symbolizing the ring parable of the related poet Gotthold Ephraim Lessing (GEL).
