Plombières (Bleyberg) owes its development to the mine during the 19th century.
Before that, Bleyberg was just a small hamlet between other towns. It is not known when you started mining ore, but the first entries are from the mid-14th century.

Parking disc 30 min, but Saturday after 12:30 and Sunday free parking. Good starting point for walk.

The stream was redirected years ago and this rock breakthrough was built especially for it, as the pit for raw material mining kept running full during floods.
It is a beautiful place with lots of calamine violets. Especially on warm days you will find pleasant shade here, the benches invite you to rest.
