The herb trail branches off from the central Aish valley cycle path and connects the municipalities of Vestenbergsgreuth, Lonnerstadt and Uehlfeld. The route passes natural beauties like the Egelsbacher Weiherkette and leads through forests, meadows and typical Franconian villages. On a section between Mailach and Lonnerstadt, large display boards provide information about the origin, cultivation, ingredients, effect and use of the plants grown there. The herb trail exudes a special charm when the purple coneflower blooms and the green lemon balm smells. The 24-kilometer circular route is best explored by bike. If you want, you can rent bikes in the nearby Schornweisach. If you just want to get a taste of the herb path, you should park your vehicle in Uehlfeld at the Lutz car park and then walk down the Aisch towards Lonnerstadt. The first herb fields of the herb farmers Ochs and Pfeiffer soon appear.Farm shops and marketers can be found all around the herb trail, which offer high-quality local products. You can get teas, spices and herbs from the region in the Greuther tea shop. There are other local products such as horseradish, fruit, vegetables, eggs and canned food available along the way.

I could see a nettle growing near Uehlfeld. Something like that is a rarity 😊!
