The stately castle, located on a rock spur above the valley of the Hausner Bach, is still well preserved as a building ensemble with three-storey hipped roof buildings, corner towers and a protruding elevator dormer. It is privately owned and unfortunately cannot be visited. The main tower-like building dates from the 14th century, the additions from the 16th century. In 1118, Heimhof was documented in a document by Margrave Diepold III. mentioned by Giengen-Vohburg for the Reichenbach Monastery. The castle was built by the lords of Haimenhofen.
