Im Eschen Nature Reserve

The nature reserve "Im Eschen" is a moor and heath landscape between the Soonwald trains with numerous widely spaced old, gnarled oaks. The path recorded by Komoot has been left to its own devices for decades and is difficult to walk if you can still recognize or find it.

The Eschen district is mulched in late summer and is then easier to walk on. Then you can more relaxedly admire the veteran trees of this old grazing forest.

During my visit, I had major problems with the circular route planned on Komoot. The northern path is hopelessly overgrown beyond a certain point. Perhaps they simply don't want large numbers of visitors here... But it's simply beautiful, these old solitary trees and the meadow with the orchids.
