Beautiful track on the Ruhr, but only during the week. At the weekend it is not so nice, because pedestrians and cyclists share a good part of the way. Of the one and the other are plenty on the way and it would be quite busy just for cyclists OR pedestrians. Together it is always difficult.
There is a part of the way on which cyclists and pedestrians are separated. Regrettably, there are too many pedestrians, for whom it is obviously too much of an intellectual challenge to recognize a bike path as such. Gladly these pedestrians are often in groups on the way and every single person has to go NEXT to the other. So you can then make a RADweg also close. Otherwise it would be great for cyclists there.
In Steele, there is the Ruhrstop at the Kurt-Schuhmacher-Brücke, which has meanwhile also adapted itself to cyclists and in which one can easily take a break drink and small (unhealthy but delicious) snacks.
