The bare rock face of the Plesse is visible from afar.
Two rockfalls in 1640 and 1755 resulted in a demolition about 250 m wide and about 25 m high.
The debris fan is now overgrown. Its lower edge is about 350 m from the demolition wall.
The landslide area is protected and may not be entered.

In spring (when there are still a few leaves left) you can look from the mountain path of the P5 through the beech forest to the edge of the Plesse.
