Thurn en Taxis (French: Tour et Taxis) is a district of Brussels that has been set up on a repurposed industrial site around the former freight station Gare Maritime and the storage depot Royal Warehouse.
After the station closed in 1994, the Royal Warehouse was the first to be restored.
The railway line 28A was transformed into a landscape park in 2014.
This site will be further redeveloped as an event location, business center and residential area.

Cycling

The goods depot, built in 1906 at the instigation of Leopold II, is a majestic building of bricks, natural stones, steel and glass. Mercury, the Roman god of commerce, watches over the entrance. At its peak in the 1960s, the depot employed 3,000 people. When the last logistical activities stopped in 2000, a reassignment was considered. The Couleur Café music festival has taken refuge there, and the real estate company Extensa, which is the new owner, has decided to restore the building and use it for fairs, parties, festivals and offices.
