At 1,805 feet (550 metres), Black Sail Pass is a pretty tough challenge by bike. Due to the steep slopes there's quite some scrambling, so be ready for some hike-a-bike!

Despite the severe ascent, you'll enjoy incredible views over the peaks and valleys of the Lake District, just make sure you look out for walkers on your way down.

Not an easy decent- super steep, loose and techy. Don’t go into this expecting a cruisy ride

Cheeky ride to the top but then relax at the bothy as you'll need it for a quite technical decent from the top.

Once past the steep section and the switchbacks it does get easier from there to the bottom
