Fritz Reuter Memorial (Reuterstein)

At the old crossroads between Kaliss, Neu Göhren, Neu Kaliß and Liepe, there is a monument made of boulders for the Mecklenburg local poet Fritz Reuter and his dog Schüten.
After his imprisonment, last in Dömitz, from which he was released on August 25, 1840, Reuter stood at this crossroads with the question:
