I recommend reserving the tickets online. It has a couple of advantages. You can park above with online tickets, otherwise you will be taken from the parking lot below with a shuttle to the top. The online tickets are even cheaper than normal tickets and you have a separate entrance in the Eisriesenwelt building at check-in.

With the Eisriesenwelt ticket you get a 20% discount on entry to Hohenwerfen Castle with the falconry (flight demonstration)

Unique, huge and always magical – this is the largest ice cave on earth! The Ice Giant World ofwerfen stretches over the first kilometer of a 40-kilometer-long cave labyrinth that was created around 100 million years ago. A chimney effect in the cave ensures an exchange of cold and warm air, which means that the ice grows in spring and melts again in summer. Overall, the ice grows a little every year.

The Eisriesenweltwerfen is located in an exposed location in the high mountains - visitors should feel fit enough for the climb to the lower cable car station, from the mountain station to the cave entrance and for the 1,400 steps of the approximately 70-minute tour.

      Opening hours: daily from April 29th to October 31st, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission: For the “cave and cable car” combination ticket, adults pay 39 euros and children 19 euros.

You can find more information at eisriesenwelt.at.

In the cave, a jacket should be worn, since the lead takes quite a long time and it is relatively cool. Gloves are an advantage because the banister is very cold, and in some places even covered in ice. Or you just do not hold on tight ;-)
So, do not forget warm clothes!
