The monastery in the Au, often only called Au women's monastery, is a Benedictine monastery in the Trachslau district in the municipality of Einsiedeln in the canton of Schwyz. In January 2017, 13 sisters lived in Au Monastery. The Chlösterliweg from Trachslau Dorf to Einsiedeln leads past it: very popular with pedestrians, but also an official bike path .... The general ban on driving is difficult to interpret here ...

Convent in der Au (Trachslau): One of the few convents still in operation in Switzerland, but only with 13 Benedictine nuns (as of 2017). The origins go back to the 14th century. The construction of the monastery began in 1619. The monastery later burned down and was rebuilt.
