Most important place on the pilgrimage in Switzerland. An impressive place with a magnificent cathedral and monastery. The evening Vespers service with Ave Maria is a must - the chants and organ music followed by a pilgrimage is a highly spiritual experience - even or especially if you don't think much of spirituality.
Be sure to spend the night in the monastery hostel. The monks' cells are spartan and nevertheless very impressive and appear with an unbelievable calmness. The pilgrim's stamp with the black Madonna is a must and is available at the hostel reception.
