About Hampi Schmid

En route on a nice autumn tour this afternoon. Was sometimes very wet and muddy. Come home dry thanks to the support of the hairdryer.

Today out of necessity with my old Hybike, because my new one was already being repaired (battery) hopefully for the first and last time.
I think that was the last time at 2000 m for this year when I see the weather report for the next 14 days. But how do you say “hope dies last”.
It was really cool to do this tour with my lady of love today, because she has not been on the bike for that long. We still had a little shock, shortly before the Seebenalp about 10 m in front of us a rockfall fell with a rather large chunk, who would have caught us, then while we were on the bike for the last time, we were lucky ...

So, after a compulsory break of 4 weeks (hip joint inflammation, MRI. Schie ... diagnosis, soon to be on the road with 2 artificial ones) I started today from Bad-Ragaz via Vilters, up to the Weißtannental. Cool lap and a great DH down to Bad-Ragaz. It was really fun to sit back on the bike after such a long time and without pain. I hope it goes on for a long time ...

Today I followed Markus Mignelli's tour "Falknis Bike & Hike", only I left out hiking. Quite a steep climb to the ridge and then I followed the single trail by Markus, which unfortunately was a mistake with the e-bike. Pushing and carrying is not so ideal for an e-bike rider. Dan finally arrived at the front lake and oh no, no water. The Mittleresee was just a puddle, too, but I think it's a shame that it is fed by meltwater and rainwater. It was also so fun and once again experienced a great bike day, thanks Markus for the route ......

Today it's finally time to do my premiere ride with my new Specialized Levo Turbo Com. Another cool thing ... !! Completely a different driving experience than with my old Hybike hardtail.Today with the whole family we enjoyed the beautiful afternoon and almost all alone went down the flow trail from the sponge height (including my wife) ;-)

Finished earlier than expected today and used the time for one last tour with my good old bike, on Thursday I can pick up my new bike from the dealer. Today's tour was a zigzag course past the rain clouds and I really managed to keep it dry.

Probably the last tour with my good old Hybike hardtail today, before my new Levo comes next week. I'm finally looking forward to my fully. It's a shame at the moment that quite a few trails in the asphalt forest are closed because they are renovating the forest paths. So we just had to take a few detours. The zigzag trail has grown too much and there are always thorns and bushes that grow into the trail, which is not so pleasant for the legs.
Since the next two weeks in the store are pretty busy, I probably don't get on my bike very much, so I'm looking forward to September.

Today it was test day for my new bike and what better way to do it than climbing the Flumsi with your tough ones and the Super DH trails. I was accompanied today by my son, who slowly got hold of the bike virus, but at the moment he prefers to ride DH than uphill ..... :-))! I tested the Levo Turbo Comp from Specialized. Cool bike and found it good, I have now reserved the 2021 model. I'm already looking forward to tours with the new bike.
PS: Komoot played a trick on me, the straight line looks like I've taken the train, but that's not the case, everything went.

Since it was another dream day today, we decided to go home only in the evening. So for today and for the son's sake we loved the Frommes Trail. 12 km DH Flow Trails., Yes, even our women rode, great. Not only the trails were fantastic, but also the landscape was great. We are coming back to Fiss hope this autumn.

Since we are going home again on Wednesday, we took the tour to Hexensee / Massnerkopf in this "imperial weather". Since our bike guide had come from the hotel to overcome the first 900 vertical meters with the gondola, otherwise our battery was no longer sufficient for the return trip, we followed this advice and chose the simple variant up to the Lazidkopf. The ascent from Lazidkopf to Hexensee is a tough one. Again and again steep ramps up to 20% slope (I think it would have been possible without a gondola). Arrived at the Hexensee, a beautiful mountain panorama awaited us. On the descent back to Servus, Thomas had complete brake failure on his bike shortly before entering the Lazidtrail, so he had no choice but to take the train down to the bike mech. I then took the Fantastic Trails to Höggsee under the wheels, where I met my family for lunch. Once again experienced a great day on the bike.
