The Zwieselter Filz, located at an altitude of 1,110 meters, is a largely pristine and visually very impressive raised moor. The 25-hectare area is home to rare plants such as the round-leaved sundew, the medium-sized sundew and the cotton grass. Hikers can experience this untouched and particularly impressive nature in the Zwieselter Filz on a boardwalk.

"Felt" is the regional term for "raised bog". The name "raised bog" has nothing to do with the altitude. Raised bogs are so named because they are no longer in contact with the groundwater. They are only supplied with water by rainwater such as dew, snow or rain.
