The Magdalen chapel goes back to a foundation of the Überkum. According to legend, he was a wagoner, and it is more likely that he was a member of a ministerial family. In the religious high spirits of his time, he founded this chapel, in which he also wanted to be buried. According to legend, his two blind horses should determine the place for the burial site. However, the construction workers considered the location given by the horses when the funeral procession to be unsuitable and began to build a chapel a little further down. It was only when their day's work had been relocated to the named place several times at night that they gave up their plans and built the chapel in the place the horses had specified. A legend in the entrance area of the chapel shows.
