Noordsche Veld is a cobbled road leading through the forest to the 'Noordsche Veld' wetlands and heather. Riding from the north, the first 200 meters are also used by cars riding to the nearby parking place.

To keep cars out, there's a big fence crossing the road, and a bit later another one. Getting off your bike at the first gate might be necessary, but the reward after is worth the trouble, as you're riding a classic Drentse 'Flintenweg' as there were once so many of. Tired of the bumps? There's a hard-pack gravel path next to the cobbles!

Lovely cobble-road in the north region of Drenthe! The first part is pretty clean but it gets more overgrown the deeper in the forest you go! Definitely doable in a roadbike tho, and you end up on a sweet hardpack gravel-singletrack after!
