Partly reclaimed heathland on a sandy ridge between two valleys north of Zeijen with today still a dolmen, many burial mounds, some so-called high fields and parts of an extensive Celtic field (mentioned on old topographic maps as 'Roman army place'). The site is owned by Staatsbosbeheer. The forestry, after the reclamation of the heath, took place in the years 1940/1941. This created the Zeijen forestry. memoryvandrenthe.nl/noordse-veld
