The Belvedere Weesenstein, also known as the hunting pavilion, was a Belvedere on a hill above the Müglitz valley in the hallway of the Meusegast district in the Müglitztal municipality. The Belvedere Weesenstein, also known as the hunting pavilion, was a belvedere on a hill above the Müglitz valley in the Meusegast district of the Müglitztal municipality. The building, erected in the mid-18th century, served as a vantage point at Weesenstein Castle and was demolished in 1951.
The Lords of Bünau had the Belvedere built above the Weesenstein English Park around 1750. The builder and master carpenter from Saxony, Johann Andreas Hünigen, may have been the executor.[2] At the end of the Second World War, the pavilion was used to accommodate resettlers. At times three families lived in the unsuitable building. In the fall of 1945, two brick chimneys were added to the long sides to heat the rooms in winter. In the course of the GDR land reform, the Weesensteiner Belvedere was demolished in 1951 despite protests from the population....

It's a shame that only the foundations are visible. You can very well imagine what a worthwhile destination a reconstruction could be!
