    Gengenbach is a picture-perfect half-timbered town!
Gengenbach, the listed old town at the entrance to the charming Kinzig Valley, gladly opens its doors to visitors. The city of towers and half-timbered houses invites you to a historic walk past baroque patrician houses and the imposing town hall, at whose feet the knight watches on the market fountain, into the romantic lanes where time seems to stand still. In contrast with the white walls of the houses stands the dark wood of the excellent floors, galleries and windows.

And if you want to know something more about the alley and the city, it's worth the round with the Gengenbach night watchman.

Very nice is the section through the forest, the philosopher's path. Here you will find a number of beautiful pictures with matching citations of personalities. An artistic as well as a philosophical highlight.

The Engelsgasse I liked best with the half-timbered houses in Gengenbach.
