        The path leads down through a small gorge. Suddenly a gem. The Brüggelieth spring. A sip of cool, clear water is a relief. "Lieth" means something like slope. “Bruges” means a bridge. Maybe there was a crossing aid here once. In any case, two ponds and a small house, the remains of Meyer's water mill, can be seen several hundred meters further south.
