Malepartus Waldschänke

An absolute long-runner and a must for every hike near Lienen. Malepartus is always very well attended, but every visit is worthwhile because there is fantastic food, delicious beer and the best desserts and cakes. There are also plenty of outdoor spaces there. A pearl to switch off and take a break.

Bavarian flair in the deepest part of Westphalia, a snack while hiking, holiday feeling in the Teutoburg Forest ...

What one takes here with regard to the routing of the Hermannsweg is tough. The normal path leads a dangling from the ridge over the terrace - ok, apparently someone with a commercial interest had influence here.
Thanks to Corona, this route is now closed. The path then does not stay on top of the ridge, but is led past the tavern all the way down into the valley and back up again. For me this is hard to beat in terms of greed for profit and disrespect for the hikers.

A very tasty kitchen. If you are walking on the Hermannsweg, you must not forget to stop here and have a little something or more.

When the weather is nice, and especially on weekends, it is very crowded here. That speaks for Malepartus!

Because of the more than unspeakable diversion of the Hermannweg, this restaurant is boycotted. The way over the terrace is closed due to Corona - ok. But instead of up along the ridge, hikers are first led down into the valley and then straight back up again - apparently just so that they can get past the tavern. What shoud that????

Easily accessible excursion restaurant. Closed due to Corona and the direct access is blocked. Follow the diversion and cross the parking lot past the restaurant, then you come back to the Hermannsweg / the Teutoschleife.

Very nice restaurant with typical Bavarian dishes and the measure is not to be despised after a long hike

After a hike, this is a great destination to stop by and strengthen yourself.
