At 1049 m altitude, the Pröller is the most famous mountain around St. Englmar and Kollnburg in the Bavarian Forest. In good weather you have a good view to the east from the summit cross, which ranges from the Hohe Bogen, Kaitersberg, Osser, Großer Arber to the Rachel. In the past, there was also a clear view to the south and west, because the summit was largely tree-free. This can be seen on old photos from the first summit cross inauguration in 1923. Property owner of the Pröllergipfels is since 1922 the Straubing section of the Bavarian Forest Association. In winter, the Pröller with its lifts on the west, north and east side of one of the most important ski mountains in the Bavarian Forest.

The Pröller (1048 m) is the most famous mountain around Kollnburg and Sankt Englmar. The new premium trail Goldsteig (south route) leads to the Pröllergipfel and lets hikers enjoy a magnificent view of the entire Bavarian Forest region.

From the Pröller via Viechtach - Arnbruck - to the corner, the connection to the Goldsteig north route was created with a new south-north connection. The Goldsteig connection Pröller - Eck and on to the Arber is more than just a functional "cross climber". It is a real dream tour, which makes the Bavarian Forest in every bend and from each of the countless viewpoints in a constantly new light.
In winter, alpine skiers will find ideal winter sports conditions on the Pröller ski triangle.
