Unfortunately, even on this stage, the markings were sometimes difficult to find (Rusel downhill, closed by the property owner at Sicking Original Track, Mount of Olives covered and totally misleading in the mowing area. For us no rest stops on the entire route. Eging was also for us I couldn't get a room for one night! Unfriendly too. In Fürstenstein about 10 km further we were welcomed in a very friendly manner at the Kerber guesthouse and, despite the late hour, we were still well cooked.

Personally, I didn't like the section from Ries to the Oberhaus fortress. The stretch along the Ilz would probably have been nicer to drive. However, one then misses the view of Passau from the Oberhaus fortress. Overall, a great tour with really nice trails. It is a pity that it is not well marked throughout. The signs are generally too small and too high - from my point of view. From Passau we went back to Viechtach by train. The forest railway from Gotteszell to Viechtach is a real asset, especially for bikers.

We were welcomed in a very friendly manner at the Kerber inn. Kitchen really good! No wish unfulfilled at breakfast. Safe storage for our bikes!
