Hiking

This is the mining area of the Victoria mine. Mainly lead and zinc ores were mined in it. Partly also iron ore and copper pyrite. At that time it was one of the highest mines in the Siegerland. At that time, the ores were brought to the sidings in Littfeld by means of a narrow-gauge railway. If you look closely, the old railway embankment is still there, and part of today's hiking trail runs along it.
