Tips

  • Beautiful corner for a little break

  • Boisdorfer See was created as part of the recultivation of the former Frechen open-cast mine. It got its name in memory of the place Boisdorf, which fell victim to the open-cast mine. The lake has an inflow from the Kleine Erft, which compensates for the water loss caused by evaporation and infiltration. If the Erft has little water in summer, the water level of the lake also drops.
