Cycling
former open-cast mining lake in the Rhein-Erft district between Kerpen and Frechen (North Rhine-Westphalia). It was created during the recultivation of the Frechen open-cast mine in the Marienfeld area and today primarily serves as a place for quiet recreation, biotope protection, and as a retention basin. Swimming, diving, and boating are strictly prohibited and life-threatening.
