For many years, Schloss Seehaus has been a regular location for many cultural and musical events. The monument was erected in the 16th century. built under Georg Ludwig von Seinsheim. After it was burned out by the Swedes in the Thirty Years' War, it went to the Counts of Schwarzenberg in 1655. The current structural condition is from 1780 - a typical baroque three-wing complex for administrative purposes. After various interim uses, the castle is currently privately owned by Ingrid Laux and Jan Kobow, the organizer of the popular cultural programs. The non-profit association Schloss Seehaus e. V. with its chairman Dietmar Leibßle-Schacher promotes the castle as a living cultural asset for the region and takes care of its elaborate preservation.
