Heatherhill is a heather-covered, 35 ha. large moraine hill, which was protected in 1960 and opened to the public.
The area originally belonged to an English entrepreneur who gave the hill the English name of his native area.

Hiking

Heatherhill is a beautiful, hilly nature reserve in the middle of the dunes between Rågeleje and Vejby Strand. On the side facing the sea you will find a rather dune-like landscape with wind-sweeping trees and beautiful views over the Kattegat, on the side facing away from the sea a great heath landscape. Both areas are grazed by sheep. Numerous juniper bushes complete the beautiful landscape.
