Apart from a few foundation walls and a cave entrance - which is secured by a grille - there is actually not much to discover here. Nevertheless, if you love history and have the necessary imagination, you will of course also come at a cost.
Above the Volksmarskeller caves is the ruins of the Michaelstein monastery, which was built by the Cistercians in the 12th century and named after their patron saint. There are some remains of the wall to be seen. A nice place of silence.
