Waalwege are the centuries-old irrigation channels along the dry sunny slopes. These are simple walks that run through woods and meadows in the valley and in the low mountain range, past chestnut groves and fruit trees. Due to the mild climate, the Waalwege are perfectly accessible throughout the year.
The Partschinser Waalweg runs above the town center and leads open water. Past historically valuable places of worship, it invites you to take in all-round views over the entire Meranerland.

Beautiful Waalweg which ends with the highlight of the huge Partschinser waterfall

On this Waalweg you can experience how the Vinschgau have channeled the water in order to then be able to use it again according to the terrain. Very nice hiking trail.

This Waal is slightly wider than the Algunder Waal, and the trail is a bit steeper.

Cozy Waalweg to the waterfall. But you can turn into the legendary path if you want it more demanding

These old Waslwege are really great. In summer temperatures always along the water, mostly in the shade

Beautiful, natural Waalweg - for me therefore more beautiful than the famous Marling Waalweg.

Narrow but mostly flat path, often under trees. In between you catch a great view of the valley again and again. And the Waal flows constantly beside the way. Great for a relaxed hike for all ages.

The entrance to the Waalweg. In general, one can say that the Waalweg still looks very original and provides a lot of shade

A very beautiful, recommendable natural Waalweg path! Rest areas without stopping off are available.

This Waalweg has the advantage over the Marlinger and Algunder Waalweg that it is still relatively little frequented because it is not so well known. As far as the panorama is concerned, however, it is hardly inferior.
